Here are a few Halloween pictures. Korben was a 1970's Zombie, Julianna a good witch and Trenton a Bat. The kids actually threw their costumes together at the last minute. I try not to buy any costumes because it let the kids express their creativity or something. Plus we have TONS of dress up clothes.

We were at our neighbor's house. Good family picture huh?! lol

Korben really got into his role. I spotted him doing the Zombie walk the next morning while going to his bus stop. What a crack up!

You can read about our camping trip in my blog. I didn't want to rewrite everything but here are a few pictures that we took on our mini vacation.

This is one of 4 deer that we saw while at our campsite. Julianna wanted to go up and pet the deer. I don't know how many times I had to explain to her that it was wild and could bit.

This is before we left camp the morning of our hike. Kids all are ready to go, digging into the dirt and messing with rocks. lol

Halfway point on our snack break. Korben showing some brotherly love. I do have like 5 other pictures of him giving Julianna bunny ears.

Julianna showing us how Daddy stands. She was hysterical!

This is when we got to the Falls. Matt let Korben go exploring and we found him on top of this huge rock at the bottom. Matt had a good eye on him though.

This was the next day after we cleared camp. We went around the State Park and found this older playground. Kids had fun but Julianna was afraid to go down the slide without Korben by her.

Well I hear Trenton up from his nap, screaming.

I will explain the video of Julianna. She was watching Super Why on PBS yesterday and started singing the song that the Purple Princess sings "I love to spell, S-P-E-L-L!" Well Julianna was singing that song all day, wrong. lol She got the first part right but when it came to spelling 'Spell' she would say S-P-E-E-L or S-P-E-L. I didn't have the heart to correct her so I video taped her instead. =o) Eventually I would sing it with her and she realized she was singing it wrong. I should have taped her without her knowing because she was so much louder and herself. She got shy once I pulled out the camera and was taping her.

Trenton is now staring to really babble. HE is almost blowing raspberries and is doing the Mamamam and nananana and babababa. It is so cute and I was surprised I was able to get some on tape.

I felt bad for Korben because I didn't get him on tape. So I just went into his room and he was building with his Legos. The Legos that you see are only half of what he has.

I just realized after I was watching the video of Trenton that my kids are wearing opposite seasoned clothes. It was chilly that morning so I dressed Trenton correct. Julianna has been wanting to wear her flower dressed for the last couple days so I let her, in the house. She wants to dress up all the time.

Well the first 6 weeks of school is over. Korben got an excellent report card and he couldn't be any happier about that. I told him to keep the grades up!

Math - 86 B
Reading - 88 A
Language (English) - 83 C
Spelling - 87 B
Social Studies - 95 A
Science - 96 A
Art - A
Music - A
Gym - A

He was two points away from a B in Language and he would have made the Principal's List?! I am not sure what they call it when you get all A's and B's. But his grades are 100% better than last year. We saw plenty of C's D's and a few F's in Reading, Spelling and Math.
Oh and he also got the Citizenship Award for his class. That means he is a role model for others and is always helping and has a positive attitude in school.

We also want to wish Aunt Racheal a happy birthday and a late happy anniversary to her and Uncle Jason. Hope you guys get a date night so celebrate! =o)

Trenton's 6 Month Stats:

19.75 pounds
27 1/4 inches tall

He got two shots today and a clean bill of health. He is right on track for development and is one happy fellow as Dr.S said today. I gave him a bit of Tylenol when we got home. Hope the shots do not make him a grump all day today and tomorrow. Papa Bill and Nana Nancy are on their way right now to come visit. Kids are SUPER happy and Julianna can not wait to show them her sparkle shoes (pink sequence princess shoes).

Here is Trenton trying to crawl to a couple of his toys on the floor. He is getting better every day but still hasn't figured out that you have to move your arms as well as your legs. lol

Julianna wanted to get in the video as well. But she wasn't happy until I 'took' a picture of her. Hence the 'say cheese' in the video.
Look for a Video update later today. I have a few vids of Mr. Trenton. He is such a funny kid, helps that he is happy 95% of the time. Time to go clean and wash a load or two of dishes, they get stacked up so fast!

Korben got a good report back from school for the first month. He got a A in Social Studies, a B in Reading, and a C in Language Arts(English). He got a F in MAth BUT its because they said he had a missing assignment but it was in his bookbag and it was graded. SO I will have to let his teacher know that he indeed do it. He also got an F in Spelling because he dind't to an assignment (putting his words in ABC order). One day he didn't have his words and he told me that he didn't need to make it up. WRONG! SO I will make sure he has all this work done no matter what. We need to get those F's to better grades.

He also got his TCAP score back from last year. TCAP is the State testing for school kids. I forget what they are called in Ohio but I know I always dreaded them each year. MY hand would cramp up everytime I had to fill in another circle.
Anyways EVERYTHING was passed Average. He was SOOO close into getting Above Average. Many were only 2 or 3 points away. I told him that and he got really excited. He is hard on himself sometimes when he doesn't know something, particularly a spelling word or a math problem. Like me, he is having trouble with multiplication and division. I told him it will take time. Once he gets it, he will never forget it.

Julianna Funnies

While taking a shower with me on Friday Julianna decided she wanted to compare body parts. First she said:
"I have small hands, you have big hands."
"Yes that's right."
"Mommy has big legs, I have small legs."
"Right again!"
"Mommy has a BIG butt, I have a small butt! (giggle)" -Yes she emphasized BIG!
"Yes Julianna I have a big butt."
"Mommy also has a BIG chest, mine's small."
"Alright Julianna ready to get out now?"

We went out to eat this evening and before we left to go back home she said she had to go potty. The whole walk to the restroom she proceeds to say in a rather loud voice "Oh mommy I have to Poooooop!" We walked the rest of the way with me correcting her to use the word "Potty".
While on the toilet she looks behind it and sees a toilet brush.

"Mommy what is that?"
"Its a toilet brush."
"Whats it for?"
"To clean the toilet."
"Oh its the toilet's tooth brush!" (she turns and pats the toilet tank)
"Um, sort of. You think the toilet has teeth?"
"Yep!"

Milestone completed!
Trenton now rolls from belly to back and back to belly. He also got on his knees to try to crawl but ended up back on his belly. Once he is able to crawl he is going to be in everything!!! He puts everything in his mouth so all little toys (legos, doll shoes, etc.) will have to stay in the playroom or in the other kids rooms.
I have Trenton on my lap now and its extremely hard to type since he is trying to attack my typing hands. lol
This past weekend we had Matt's brother's wedding to go to. Korben was a groomsman and made a rented tuxedo look cute as ever! I will post a few pictures on here and if I know you personally you will get a link to the rest. Or just let me know if you want to see the rest and I will email you the link. Julianna wasn't in the wedding but she was just as cute with her flowery dress.
I am getting Trenton on solid foods more and more lately. He does not like any rice or oatmeal cereal. So I am just mushing up bananas for him and then pureeing veggies for him. So far he likes green beans and bananas. We are going to try carrots in a bit. I ended up getting that KidCo puree machine. Before that I bought a hand puree and it sucked! My hand and wrist hurt so darn bad that I refuse to use it until he is able to eat very textured but not pure solid food. That darn thing just can't puree like the KidCo can.
Alright need to end this now. The two oldest are driving me nuts and I am getting drooled on by Trenton.

Trenton is 5 months old today! Above is a little video I took last week. I think he is our happiest baby ever. ANYTHING will make him laugh but he is also sensitive. You scare him, he will cry in pain. He will put out that bottom lip and just cry, until you can comfort him and try to calm him down. He is still nursing like a champ, but going for longer durations now. He has tried a few foods, HATES any type of baby cereal but LOVES to munch on bananas and frozen peaches. I bought a net feeder that you put in solid foods and infants can munch on the netting and it will turn to mush practically.
He has been waking up almost every night for the past week. I think its time to reintroduce cereal after dinner time. He wakes up and nurses for a while then falls back to sleep. Of course I fall asleep too, on the couch or the recliner. Its killing my back, I need to get back to bed right after he is done nursing. I will not bring him in bed with me though. I did that with Julianna from when she was a newborn and it took almost 3 years to get her out of our bed. NEVER again.
A little funny thing that happened today:
Julianna was playing on my Nintendo DS and was trying out Cooking Mama game. If you have never heard of it, you make all kinds of dishes. You have to prepare everything, like shop up onions, mix ingredients etc. I am sitting right beside her and I hear "OH CRAP!" I turn to her and say, "Julianna we do not say Crap, its not a nice word." She turns to me and states, "No Mom CRAB!" I look down at the DS and she is trying to 'tear' a CRAB apart. lol OOPS! Of course I apologized and she just laughed.

Here are a few pictures taken yesterday.
The Tye Dye shirts and diapers were made on Wednesday at a local playgroup that Julianna, Trenton and I attended. Korben was at camp so he wasn't there but I made him a shirt. His is the Spongebob one. I plan on getting some dye so the kids and I can do a whole bunch of shirts and such. I know Korben would have fun with it.

Trenton absolutely LOVES this bouncer/jumper contraption. But he doesn't last longer than 15 minutes in it until he wants out. lol Oh and he crawled ( I ment rolled! Not yet old enough to crawl. Trying to get too ahead of myself I guess) over from front to back officially yesterday. He did it once a couple weeks ago but didn't try it again till yesterday.

Slacker, that is me. I just hate writing here if I don't have anything to say.
Korben will be coming home tomorrow afternoon. he has been at Webelos Resident camp since Monday. I was going to give him a disposable camera to take with him but totally forgot. I hope one of his leaders took some so I can post them. Nana and Papa are coming down on Saturday afternoon to take Korben up to Ohio with them. I think on their way back they are going to take Korben to a few Civil War places. He will really enjoy that. He has been really busy this summer. It was Vacation at the beach for a week then to Scout Day Camp for a week then he had a week off to just do nothing around the house. Then this week is overnight camp. It good for him to be busy because he was really bored when he was home. I am deft. sure he will be busy when he is at the farm in Ohio.
Julianna has been doing good. We went to a Tye Dye playgroup today. She had fun playing with the other kids and bossing them around. lol I asked her if she wanted to color her shirt but she didn't want to. So I tye dyed a shirt for each kid and two of Trenton's prefolds. I can't wait to see them tomorrow. We have to wait 24 hours for the colors to bleed through then wash them in cold water a few times. Maybe the kids and I can Tye Dye when Korben gets back in July. He would LOVE that.
Trenton has been doing pretty well. He has only rolled over once but is trying to do it again in his crib. I recently bought him a mirror for his crib so he can be busy when he wakes up. He has been sleeping through the night since the beginning of June. Which is nice to wake up and still have him sleeping. I can get a few thing done. He usually goes down around 9pm and wakes up between 7am-9am. He LOVES LOVES to smile and laugh at everyone. He is a little comic I swear.
We recently got a family membership at the YMCA last week. Kids love it. Julianna loves to go to the nursery and play with the other kids while I workout. This gives me about and hour of some ME time. Which is desperately needed. I don't feel as stressed when I have a work out during the day. I try to go when Trenton has nursed and is close to a nap. Its always easier on the workers there when they have at least one baby napping. Korben goes and swims in the pool while I work out. Any child 8 and up can go swimming with out an adult, as long as they are good swimmers. Of course I gave Korben plenty of rules like staying in the water that is NOT past his shoulders and he can not go in the lap pool. He has to let the lifeguard know that he is by himself in the pool. I do sneak a peak in the window while I am working out, just to make sure things are going ok with him.
I have alot of pictures to share of our vacation but they are on the other computer still. Our other computer is not hooked up to the internet as of right now so I am not sure how or when I will get to post them.
Well I will see some of you during the 4th of July weekend. We are coming up to Ohio on the 4th that afternoon and leaving on Sunday. I just hope our ride down is alright. Trenton doesn't like being in the car a whole lot. Just have to travel for a longer period during his nap time in the afternoon.

Ok I need to update this thing on a regular basis. Thanks Racheal for kicking my butt into gear. haha

Trenton had his 2 month check up on Thursday. He is 12 pounds 8.5 ounces which puts him in the 75th percentile. He is 23 inches long which is in the 53rd percentile. The doctor said he isn't 'overweight' just a chubster. haha I think the other two were exactly like that and they started to thin out once they became mobile. I love my chubby baby. They are cuter with healthy rolls!

We have a busy summer ahead of us. June 1st through June 8th we are heading to Gulf Shores Alabama on the Orange Beach/Ft. Morgan area. We reserved a beach house for $700 all week, which is an AWESOME deal considering that a hotel for the week was around 1200-1500 a week. The house includes everything except us, our clothes and food. They supply everything else. It is 1/2 block away from shore and the road that the house is on dead ends to the beach!
Julianna is SOO excited and asks everyday if we are going to the beach to swim.

Ahh Trenton is awake. I will update later. Oh and Racheal, when you have time, can you email the pictures from last weekend. We never did get them transfered to our computer.

Saturday, February 23, 2008

Ok I now have some pictures to share with you all. The first two are from the Predators game that we went to on Valentine's Day. The kids were excited to go and were really well behaved throughout the game. I was worried about Julianna and her patience but she did fairly well for it being her first time at a hockey game. Korben really got into the game and was even starting his own cheers. haha

They feasted on Hotdogs, Funnel Cake and some Cotton Candy. I think they really enjoyed themselves. I am glad that we got to go before the baby gets here.

This picture is for laughs. I couldn't find Julianna one afternoon and looked into the bathroom and found this:

I guess she SORTA takes after Papa Bill, except she falls asleep on the pot instead of in the bathtub. =o)

The below video is of The Mt. Juliet Tournament a few weeks ago. Korben didn't place but he is improving everyday. They had a tournament in Crossville today but Julianna and I did not go. Gotta stay close to home and 2 hours is a bit far. Matt said he did really good and even got mad and fought back rather than 'being a fish in the water.'

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Here is a small clip of Korben's second Match at his first ever Wrestling tournament. There was no winner or loser. At the end the ref held up both their hands and each child got a medal at the end of the tournament.

Korben was SO proud to receive his medal at the end of the day. He was also rewarded with a piece of pizza that he begged for hours for and a Sprite to wash it down. I think he had a great experiance overall and will be in another tournament this Saturday in Dickson,TN.

Now we can't for get little sis now can we?! Oh and Dad she hasn't taken off this necklace since you bought it for her while we were up there for the holidays. She did find her heart ring. It ended up in her car seat.
